Far beyond our wildest dreams, you grew up into a very happy and thoughtful little girl with a true heart of gold. At an early age, you were so concerned about the well-being of her siblings, friends, and loved-ones.
Her caring attitude reminds me of a time she pestered us for a new baby. Michelle had already had two older brothers and every day, she would often come to either me or my wife and tell us that she wanted a baby sister.
She felt we weren’t doing our best, so she started praying every night for a sister and she would tell us that she was praying for a very long time but that God still didn’t get her one.
She eventually got her prayers answered with her little sister Nini whom she adored and cared for like a little princess. Growing up, she was fun to be with, but like most kids, she sometimes drove us crazy.
When she was about five years old, she disappeared from home and her sudden disappearance shot our blood pressure unexpectedly through the roof! We had the police combing the neighborhood for over an hour.
When it felt like all hopes were gone, I shouted frantically in exasperation. Finally, she heard me calling out for her and she responded by saying that she was in her doll house. Believe it or not, when I entered, she was fast asleep like a log!
It’s hard to imagine that the years have gone so fast and it’s a heartfelt blessing to see that our precious daughter has grown up from that little girl who brought so much joy and happiness into our lives, into a very caring, loving, thoughtful, and responsible young woman!
Michelle, we are so proud of you and how far you’ve come down the road of life. Every woman looks forward to that beautiful day when she’s joined together with that special person she just can’t live without.
Today, as you exchanged promises with Dave, I could feel from the excitement in your voice that you’ve found your love, rock, balance, and inspiration in him. I am so ecstatic that you’ve found the man of your dreams, but we will never stop loving you from afar, and praying for your everlasting happiness because you hold such a special place in our hearts.
It gives me joy to see that you will be sharing the rest of your life with someone who loves you as much as we do. We wish you the very best and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.
Dave, when someone loves you, they don’t have to say it. You can tell it by the way they treat you. For all these years, you have shown time and again that you really love Michelle with your whole heart.
I remember that after you went into the Army upon graduation from dental school and was stationed in New York for 4 years, you and Michelle had a long distance relationship to navigate. But that didn’t make your love for her grow so cold.
You both rose to the challenge by visiting each other when you could, and you even showed each other what matters most. To me, that’s a testament of your commitment and total love.
Not only have you decorated her life with your love, but you’ve helped enriched her appreciation of life’s good things, and I am eternally gratefully for that.

I will stop here. This is not a superman movie. Now, don’t you think this little story will perk ears up? It will because we love good stories.
