Wedding (Marriage) Anniversary Speech From A Friend

Want to honor your loving friend on his or her wedding anniversary but not too sure how to come up with a great wedding anniversary speech for that friend?

At last, you too can simply follow this simple plan devised by one the greatest wedding speech writers in the world and you will come up with a unique, heartfelt and memorable speech without pulling your hair out!

Scripture tell us in Proverbs 18:24 that friends do come and go, but there’s a friend that sticks close than a brother.

The Message Bible’s rendition of this verse is this: a true friend sticks by you like family!

You will agree with me that a true friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.

So, if you are blessed enough to have such a friend who loves and treasures you so much, you have to show that you care so much about him or her on his in good times and bad.

You see, being asked to speak at your friend’s wedding anniversary reception is one of the best ways to honor and show appreciation to your friend for standing by you all these years!

What that means is that you come up with a sweet and heartfelt message during the anniversary celebrations!

For most people, finding the right words seems like climbing up and down the world’s highest mountain, let alone getting the confidence to speak before the guests.

Well, I have good news for you. I have been writing wedding speeches for some time now, and I know how to simply and quickly look for the best words that will help you say what’s really on your heart.

However, before we begin, you have to get this right:

Just Clear Out This ''Mental Cobweb’'' And The Guests Will Give You Tons Of Compliments!

Chances are prior to the day of the celebration, you will experience rapid heartbeat, have sweaty hands and a dry mouth when you imagine how your performance will be received by the guests. Those signs indicate that you’re nervous.

However, you can speak confidently if you have a positive mental attitude.

Whenever, you are asked to address an audience or a small crowd, your mind will bring back pictures of past performances and what you doth with those mental images will define how address the guests.

So, it’s best to not listen to that small voice which tells you, you are not going to make it and hold this perfect picture of you speaking before your imaginary, smiling guests!  As you keep on doing that, you will be empowered from within and you a sense of optimism will be unleashed from within you!

Having that done, what you have to know is that there are basically four steps you have to bear in mind you have follow whenever you are writing any kind of speech and it involves the following.

  1. Brainstorm for ideas, words, and phrases to write your speech
  2. Writing the speech and editing it
  3. Practicing your speech and
  4. Making your speech

But, for today, I want us to look at idea number 1: Brainstorming, which is the hardest of the four!

Do You Know These Videos Can Help You Out?

Sitting through a very long movie just to come up with ideas is not what I am talking about.

There are lots of video sharing platforms and sites, and all you have to do is to look up your search term: wedding or marriage anniversary speech for a friend.

With a pen and note pad in handy, just watch a couple or lots of them and jot down ideas, words, phrases, and sentences that inspires you and you feel you can use  to write a short and sweet message to your friend!

By the way, here are a few quotes from movies you can adapt to making your speech unique.

''It’s like our time together is just ours. It’s our own creation. It must be like I’m in your dream and you’re in mine or something.'' - Before Sunrise

''It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together … and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home... only to no home I’d ever known... I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like... magic.''- Sleepless in Seattle

''When I look at you, I can feel it. I look at you, and I’m home.''-Finding Nemo

''It’s like in that moment the whole universe existed just to bring us together.''- Serendipity

''They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that’s true.'' - Big Fish

''But our love is like the wind. I can’t see it, but I can feel it.'' - A Walk to Remember

''I love you. You complete me.'' - Jerry Maguire

''Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while.'' -The Princess Bride

''I think I'd miss you even if we'd never met.''- The Wedding Date

''I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.''- The Fault in Our Stars

Okay, I want to help make things easy for you, so I want to show you how to easily use lines above to write a short wedding anniversary speech.

Let’s go for the quote:

''They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that’s true.''-Big Fish

Well, let us see how we can use that quote to write…

A Very Short Wedding Speech Anniversary For A Friend!

''They say that when you meet the friend of your life, time stops, and that’s true. Mike has been my cheerleader, best friend, my hero friend for close to 20 years.

Twenty years ago, I went through one crisis after another and it got a point where I felt all hope was gone and lost, but he became my fountain of hope.

I remember back then when Mike would come over to the hospital with Meagan and the kids, tell me nice stories and before he went back home,  we would hold hands and Mike would say a prayer for me to get back on my feet soon…

Did you notice how I used the phrases: …you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that’s true… to say what was on my heart?

That’s exactly what to do if you want to use quotes from watching short movie excerpts, to write portions of your anniversary wishes for your friend.

Why Not Use This Once Upon A Time Story?

I feel so sorry for folks who write to us asking for help because they simply don’t know where to start from.

It is said there’s nothing new under the sun and that’s so true when it comes to getting and organizing the right ideas to form a coherent and consistent message.

Rather than striving hard to look everywhere for the right information, why not  use good stories.

Once upon a time stories and personal anecdotes always work. If you decide to go for the former, then make sure the theme of that message is in sync with the theme of your speech.

If you decide to go for the latter, then you simply have to share funny or non-funny memories.

Answer These 12 Questions And Your Mind Will Be Flooded With Warm Memories

Record your thoughts on a clean piece of paper as you answer the following questions

  1. How long have you known your friend?
  2. How has he or she impacted your life or how does he or she inspire you?
  3. What’s his or her most admirable traits?
  4. How has his or her marriage impacted yours or others?
  5. What one thing about their union do you want to tell everyone?
  6. Were you present when they got married? If so, what was your role? Best man, maid of honor, photographer? …
  7. How have they impacted the lives of others? Family, friends, etc.?
  8. What are their achievements or legacies?
  9. How has their good and bad times made their bonds of love stronger?
  10. What funny memories do you want to share?
  1. What does your friend enjoy doing together with his or her spouse?
  2. What do you hope to see in the next chapter of their lives?

Every answer you write should be backed up with evidence.

Can you be clear Dan? Not too sure what you mean exactly.

Ok, I will my reader.

Suppose my best friend is Mark right?

So, to write responses for question # 3: ‘’What’s his or her most admirable trait?’’

Well, I will put down this: Mark is kind and selfless!

Simply writing kind and selfless is not enough because I have not provided enough reasons why Mark is so good and kind.

This is how it should be instead:

Dave is a kind and a selfless guy.

I remember last year, he and Amanda went to Africa to volunteer in a rural community. While there, it was raining...

Most people don’t give the facts when speaking and that’s just wrong. Remember, your duty is to tell a good story and how can you do that without sharing specifics about your friend's life.

How To Make Your Speech Funnier!

You can also use jokes or funny one-liners to enrich your speech if you are looking forward to giving a funny wedding anniversary speech.

Here a few jokes you can use.

Funny jokes about relationship - Successful man and woman

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

Funny jokes about relationship - Compliment

Woman standing in front of the mirror complains to her husband:
- I look ugly. At least you tell me any compliment!
- Husband responds: Your vision is perfect!

Funny jokes about relationship - Marriage

Marriage is a workshop, where man works and woman shops.

Funny jokes about relationship - Marriage certificate

A wife to her husband:
- Honey, what are you doing?
- I'm reading our marriage certificate
- What for?
- I'm looking for the expiry date.

If the quote is coming from the lips of a celebrity or a public, don’t forget to acknowledge its source. But, if you want to sound smart, just paraphrase the quote, so it becomes uniquely yours.

Funny quotes are not the only bullets you can use, you can also make use of funny comments or ideas you both talk about when you have a tete-a-tete! However, any quote you use should be used appropriately in line with your message.

These Songs Will Make You Tap Your Feet And Fill Your Mind With Great Ideas

Did you know that marriage, love and anniversary songs can you put you in the mood for the clever expression of your thoughts as well as inspire you to get great ideas.

To give you an idea of how to do just that I want to list some title tracks and then we will look at how to use the lyrics to write a few beautiful lines.

All Of You – John Legend

The Best Is Yet To Come – Frank Sinatra

How Deep Is Your Love – Bee Gees

Love Will Keep Us Together-  Captain and Tennille

Endless Love by Diana Ross & Lionel Richie

Through The Years – Kenny Rogers

Please see the lyrics to Kenny Roger’s through the years below

I can't remember when you weren't there
When I didn't care for anyone but you
I swear we've been through everything there is
Can't imagine anything we've missed
Can't imagine anything the two of us can't do

Through the years
You've never let me down
You turned my life around
The sweetest days I've found
I've found with you

Through the years
I've never been afraid
I've loved the life we've made
And I'm so glad I've stayed
Right here with you
Through the years

I can't remember what I used to do
Who I trusted whom, I listened to before
I swear you've taught me everything I know
Can't imagine needing someone so
But through the years it seems to me
I need you more and more

Through the years
Through all the good and bad
I knew how much we had
I've always been so glad

Now, let’s feel free to put what courtesy that song.

Take note of the underlined words as that will be the backbone of our speech.

They are words from Kenny’s song…

Through the years, Mary has taught me a lot that will last a lifetime.

I can’t remember when she wasn’t around

I have been through a lot and she always stood by me as she’s never let me down

So, my prayer was she finds someone to make her joy complete and then she found Jeremy

From the years I have come to know this beautiful couple, I have seen their love grow like the roots of a rose deep down the earth…

Sample Wedding Anniversary Speech Samples or Examples For Your Brother Or Sister

I think this is the best ever wedding anniversary speech sample? Do you agree?

There’s no doubt that in our life, we all aspire to imitate people who have been good role models because they leave beautiful footprints on our hearts.

It begins from the home and then our workplace as well.

When we live our lives in a good way, others will most likely imitate your behavior.

This Is The Best Remedy for Your Speech… What Do You Think?

It’s for this reason that I always tell my readers and clients who are struggling to come up with the right ideas and words to always base their wedding anniversary speech for their brothers or sisters on good examples.

Proven wedding anniversary sample speeches are by far the best route to take if you want to come up with something unique and heartfelt.

Here’s why

  1. You’re able to look it over and change a few ideas here and there and make it entirely yours, particularly if you are asked by your brother or sister to say something when you least expect it.
  2. You can use it as a guide so you can put down your exact thoughts and emotions into a well-structured speech!
  3. If you’re very creative, then, tons of new ideas will swim in your head as you meditate on it.

Well, last time, we looked at how and where to get ideas to help you write a beautiful wedding anniversary speech for your brother or sister.

One of the tools we kept referring to was speech samples.

In that write-up, I showed you a very short sample and how you can use it to write something great.

However, I didn’t cover extensively how that example was written.

Well, I have told you over and over that giving a great wedding anniversary speech is not an easy thing even for more experienced writers or speakers.

So, for today, I want to make things work out for you easily and simply by taking you through this example.

As we do that, I will try as much as possible to get into the writers mind at the time of writing by putting down useful comments and examples so you get a clear idea of how to use it to say what is on your heart.

So, please take your pen and paper and come along with me.

Ready? Let us get started right away.

Oh sorry, I forgot one thing. I guess it is not too late to bring it up anyway.

Don’t Make This Mistake Else Your Speech Will Be Very Boring!

One mistake I see a lot of people do when they use those samples is to copy the entire thing word for word without putting a great deal of thought into the reason why that wordsmith used a particular word or idea

Before, you piece your anniversary message or well-wishes together for your brother or sister; you have to decide what presentation style to pick from as the sample you find is always in the voice of another person.

What Will You Pick?

There are various styles to choose from anyway and you can…

  1. Decide whether to make your speech funny or humorous.
  2. Decide if you want to sound poetic
  3. Decide to give a simple narrative
  4. Decide to simply thank everyone for coming and congratulating the speakers and that’s arena for timid speakers who make very boring speeches.
  5. Decide to say something sentimental
  6. Decide if you want to sing your speech to the beat of a well-known song the guests can sing along.
  7. Decide to think out-of-the box and come up with a very unique presentation.

A lot of folks write to us and ask which of those techniques will resonate best with the guests.

It depends entirely on you. For instance, if you are a natural funny person, then a message that will get the wedding party guests off their seats will be very ideal.

From experience, most people go for a combo

But funny and sentimental speech types are the most preferred by those we work with.

In short, whatever style you go for, should something that reflect your own personality and voice.

By the way, here is our…

Wedding Anniversary Speech Sample For A Brother Or Sister

''Has it ever occurred to you that celebrating a wedding anniversary is like flicking through a photo album? It is a day for remembering old friends and shared occasions

Tonight one of the photos in that album of memories is a wedding photo.

Tonight we are celebrating that wedding of Mary and John and their years together since that special day.

So we are celebrating commitment, love and loyalty. We are celebrating the marriage of a couple who believed in being true to their wedding vows.

We are celebrating how two totally different people became a unit while still retaining their individuality. We are definitely celebrating the attraction of opposites.''

Wow! I am touched by those beautiful words.

You may not agree with me, but this narrative is undoubtedly the most brilliant piece I have ever seen anywhere

It is one that piece that is very creative and as a wedding speech writer myself, I keep getting fresh insights into it anytime I look it over.

Do you know why I said so?

You see, most people would have simply used the words: '' I remember when….''    But not this writer.

Did you notice how he started it all?

''Has it ever occurred to you that celebrating a wedding anniversary is like flicking through a photo album? It is a day for remembering old friends and shared occasions.

Tonight one of the photos in that album of memories is a wedding photo. Tonight we are celebrating that wedding of Mary and John and their years together since that special day.''

Have you ever been to a wedding where the speaker used this approach?

Did you realize that she asked a question? Please see it again here: ''Has it ever occurred to you that celebrating a wedding anniversary is like flicking through a photo album?''

Asking the wedding guests a question is certainly one way of getting their attention and making them bond with you right from the start of your speech and I really admire this person for her brilliance!

Just Follow These Steps And Your Family And Friends Will Love You Forever!

Though a masterpiece, I wish she had begun her speech by making a short self-introduction, by telling everyone her name, her relationship to the addresses, and then proceed to thank everyone for coming to support her sibling.

That being said, there are many ways you can engage the audience using your opening line as it carries the most weight.

Here are a few of them:

  1. You can start with a good joke. But, make sure its theme is connected to your speech in a way.

  2. You can also start with quotes on love…below are some highlights
  • There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved-George Sand
  • Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage-Lao Tzu
  • Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
  • Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another-Thomas Merton
  • The best thing to hold onto in life is each other-Audrey Hepburn

3.You can also start with a quote about your friendship. You can do that by  looking it up or using any of these lines:

First, By the way, the following are quotes about sisters you can use.

''I have a wonderful shelter, which is my family. I have a wonderful relationship with my brother and sister; this makes me feel that I know always where I belong.''-Jose Carreras

''For there is no friend like a sister in calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands.''-Christina Rossetti

''As I grew up, one of my strongest allies has been my sister.''-Patti Smith

''If you have a brother or sister, tell them you love them every day - that's the most beautiful thing. I told my sister how much I loved her every day. That's the only reason I'm OK right now.'' -Amaury Nolasco

''I always like to win. But I'm the big sister. I want to make sure she has everything, even if I don't have anything. It's hard. I love her too much. That's what counts.''--- Venus Williams

  1. You can also use a personal narrative and use it to support your story line. You can also use imaginary stories, but you have got to tie the message to your content anyway, so it makes sense.

Okay, I want to make things easier,

So, let me use this quote to craft a short and sweet example for your brother or sister.

Hmm… I think we should go for

''As I grew up, one of my strongest allies has been my sister.''-Patti Smith

''For there is no friend like a sister in calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands.''-Christina Rossetti

Don’t you think so?

Please note: This is skewed towards a sister but it can be slightly modified if you want to use it for your brother.

Now, Can You Write Something Like This Too?

''Growing up, Mary was my trusted confident and strongest ally.

There has been no like her in both calm and stormy weather. She cheered me up when I lost my own husband and she’s been like my moral compass.

She taught me to be selfless and love people because she believed we are all brothers and sisters from different parents.

She believed that God was our parent and his rich blow flows through each one of us.

I know Mike is so blessed to have married such a wonderful person.''

Do you see how we used the lines: ''strongest ally'' and ''calm or stormy weather'' to share our message?

Now, let us continue with our speech sample.

''Mary and John, you see, are two separate people with different ideas. They share the same values, of course, but they each have their own outlook and characteristics.

Mary, like many wives, wonders why John cannot simply ask somebody for directions when he is lost instead of driving around in circles.
John, like most husbands cannot understand why his wife takes such a long time to buy a dress.
So over the years they have learned to be tolerant of each other.

Mary has got used to taking the scenic route and John brings a good book with him when Mary goes shopping. Alternatively he bribes a female friend to go with her.''

Just Answer These 4 Questions And Your Ideas Will Flow Nicely!

The body comes after your introductory remarks and a lot of people go through so much pain to make their ideas flow in a logical order.

But, you don’t have to go through that.

For the central part of your speech, you can let our example we are looking at inspire you, by addressing you brother or sister and his or her spouse and bringing out what makes their relationship very special.

You can also ask yourself these questions and ''bring the broken pieces together''

  1. How and where did they meet?
  2. What nostalgic memories about their wedding day do you want to share?
  3. How has their relationship evolved over the years?
  4. What have they been through? Talk about the good and bad times and it’s sure to inspire those who are going through hard times!

Remember, your words can be like a healing balm to those who are thinking of calling it quits!

After you have given your responses, just pour your heart out and don’t you worry how it flows because you can always modify, add or delete as you wish.

Enough said. Let us go on to see the writer’s next lines.

'' Marriage, you see, is about tolerance. It's about a shared sense of humor.
In a hard world it needs to have a network of family and friends to support it.

Today, I know Mary and John are delighted too that you are here with them to share this special occasion. We, on the other hand, are delighted to be here to wish them well on their anniversary.
Their marriage has had its trials and tribulations of course. It has also had its golden moments.

There have been births and birthdays. There have been triumphs and disasters but over all the years John and Mary clung together and survived it all.

I have no doubt but that they have cried and wiped each other’s' tears. I know for a fact that they have laughed long and often and that, I think, is the secret of their happy marriage.''

Oh my God, I love this piece. It seems like we both sat to write this speech together as we are thinking alike.

Do you notice that most of the questions I asked you early on?

Here’s how those responses are weaved into this speech.

-Their marriage has had its trials and tribulations of course.

-It has also had its golden moments.

-There have been births and birthdays. There have been triumphs and disasters but over all the years John and Mary clung together and survived it all.

How To Make Your Brother Or Sister Proud Of You-

…as well as how to get the wedding guests to say amazing things about your speech!

If you want to achieve what I just talked about and more, then you have to end on a bang.

Want to know how to do that?

Before I show you how, let us look at the closing remarks of our example:

''Mary and John are very special people. They always have time for others. They are generous to a fault and they have an open door policy when it comes to family and friends.

In fact they are wonderful parents, marvelous family members and the best friends anyone could have.
So. tonight we are gathered to thank them for what they have meant to us over the years. Tonight we want to wish them many more years of happiness together.''

I guess you can make something out of that right?

Now, here’s How to End Your Speech on a Memorable Note

Don’t forget to wish them well in the coming years and tell them how you desire that their marriage will be an excellent model.

You can use the medium of prayer, reciting a poem or chanting a psalm or simply expressing your wishes by writing a poem and using it as your toast as I have done here:

'' In fact ladies and gentlemen (or family and friends) I think you will all agree that a toast is in order. So please raise your glasses in a toast to a couple whose marriage was definitely the prototype for marriages made in Heaven. Mary and John!

We've gathered today to tell you
Just how much you mean to us
That's why we've sent you those greetings
And that's why we are making a fuss
It's great to see two people

As happy as you two are
In a sad world we're lucky that

Your marriage is our guiding star.
So now I say to you well done

You've shown wedlock can be fun
Demonstrated what a marriage should be
And I know the guests agree with me

That as a couple you deserve more than most ‘’
Our best wishes and a happy anniversary toast.

That, in essence, is how to make use of wedding anniversary speech samples to writing an awesome speech for your sister.

And I think you can write one without trying so hard right?

A perfect closing might make good use of the following ideas

  1. Thanking your brother or sister for their love and support over the years and how that has made you a much better person

  1. You can say what your best wishes are for them as seen below

-Dear Sister and Brother, together you two are perfect. On this anniversary i wanna wish you a very happy anniversary, may you both live long and look after each other like you always do.

-Happy Anniversary to a most beautiful couple that i have ever seen. May your anniversary day always satisfy your hearts with joy and the happy memories of previous life time spent together.

-Love, trust, tolerance & tenacity. This is what we have seen in your relation every time. May you have such beautiful life ahead of you as well. Best wished on your special wedding anniversary.

-Another happy year for you both. May this year also brings you happiness and comfort with love and joy, like all the years before. Many many happy return of the day. Happy Anniversary my dearest fellow. I love you so much.

-We wish you a very happy anniversary on your 15(comment: you may replace the number) years of loving marriage.

- Your celebration on this fine occasion, means the world to us. May you have such a loving life for all the years to come. Best wishes to a very speicla sister and brother-in-law

3.You can end with a blessing from the scriptures. My favorite is Psalm 12

Psalm 128

             A song of ascents.

  1. Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him.
    You will eat the fruit of your labor;
blessings and prosperity will be yours.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
        within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
        around your table.
Yes, this will be the blessing
for the man who fears the Lord.
  2. May the Lord bless you from Zion;
may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life.
May you live to see your children’s children—
        peace be on Israel.

Lamentations 3:22–23

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

I love examples and here once again is a short speech based on the bible verses above: Do not be anxious about anything

'' Mark, you have been an outstanding role model to me and my wife as well as our children as you have always shown us how much you truly love us.

You have come thus far because you believed that the best gift we have to give to each other in our lives is love and that’s true….

Your love for Mary is pure and through all the changing scenes of life, you have held her so close and I remember when she was diagnosed with cancer a while back, you didn’t look like a worried.

I remember asking you why you believed strongly that your wife will recover and I remember you said: When God is with you in the storm, you can have absolute peace of mind…then you said…Dora, when you totally trust the Lord, you can always have a good night sleep!''

Don’t you think this message can be used for your final words?

  1. Compliment them sincerely and wish them well in the years ahead.
  2. You can close your eyes and say a prayer for your brother or sister

I hope you have a fair idea of how to use this speech sample to write yours.

If you are still in the wilderness, then here’s what I think would help you as soon as possible.

Wedding Anniversary Speech For Parents(Mom And Dad)

Are You Looking For The Right Ideas, Words, Tips And Phrases To Help You Write A Unique, Heartfelt And Memorable Wedding Anniversary Speech For Your Parents(Mom and Dad?)

But, don’t really how to start or not too sure of how to come up with one easily and quickly?

Is This True?

Just walk down the streets and ask a few people what the best paid jobs are in the world, and no one will tell you that parenting is the best paying ''job''

But, I believe parenting is the most rewarding and fulfilling job ever.

You simply cannot pay your parents back for their endless love and priceless sacrifices even if you were the richest person on ear. Likewise, no amount of words can adequately tell your mom and dad how much you love.

However, when your parents ask you to give a speech at their wedding anniversary party, then you have to look for touching words to tell them and the invited guests how much you love and how they have helped make you a better person!

Nonetheless, finding those words is not an easy thing even for those of us who have spent many years writing great wedding speeches for people all over the world.

Well, I know you want to really want to show appreciation to your parents and I want to help you do that by walking you through an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process for getting the right words and ideas so you come up with an awesome speech.

Before we do that, I want you to get this.

This Is Why We Feel The Nerves….And How To Calm It Down… So You Express Yourself With Poise And Clarity!

I don’t know if you feel nervous right now, but there is a tendency that you will have butterflies in the knot of your stomach, and your heart will beat faster days prior to your parents wedding celebration, and that you do with those feelings will make you a better or worse speaker.

The thing is anytime, we are called to speak in public, and our minds relay to us information about past speaking opportunities we might have squandered or excelled in.

What you do with that little voice will undoubtedly influence how your performance will go. Unfortunately, most people choose to listen to that voice and get stuck either with writing down their ideas or speaking confidently in public.

That shouldn’t happen at all. Even if you failed to do so well in the past, you still have to hold this positive mental image in your mind of you speaking and you will be empowered from within.

As you might know, there are three key elements that come together when preparing great speeches.

  1. First, you need to brainstorm and come up with the right ideas
  2. Second, you need to put together those ideas you came up with in a coherent and logical manner
  1. Third, getting to rehearse your speech

  1. As well as delivering your speech

Right now, you are trying to come up with the right facts and believe it or not, it is not too easy if you don’t know where to start from.

That’s why I am here today to help you figure out how to easily do that like a pro!

At Last! A Pro Reveals Proven Steps-To-Follow To Come Up With Unique Ideas And Heartfelt Words!

I have been writing amazing speeches and sometimes family and friends ask me how I am able to come up with unique speeches despite the fact the contents shared by those seeking professional help are very similar.

Before my blue pen touches any clean sheet, I follow any of these steps:

How To Put Yourself In The Mood By Watching Videos

Which videos should I watch? I am not saying you need to watch a three-hour long movie or something longer just to get ideas.

What I mean is this. There are a lot of video sharing platforms or websites you can simply go and input your search term: wedding anniversary speech for mom and dad.

Next, grab a pen and paper and as you watch them, put down ideas, words and phrases you think you can use to make your speech unique.

Don’t limit yourself to videos by parents, you might do that for uncles, aunts, wives, husbands and it will bring the incredible ideas swimming inside your head to life.

Do You Know God Can Help You Out Too?

Wait…wait…wait a minute- I have a question for you!

Do you mean God will come down from heaven just to help me write my speech? No, he won’t waste his precious time coming to sit you down and teach you what to do.

So, how will HE do it?  God’s put everything you need to know in the scriptures?

The bible has so many wonderful passages and verses you can use to enrich your message and make it more memorable than you ever imagine.

Let’s see some of these bible verses.

Genesis 1:27-28: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.' "

Song of Solomon 8:6-7: “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised."

Ephesians 4:2-3: “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?"

one who loves another has fulfilled the law."

1 Corinthians 13:4-5: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

Song of Solomon 4:9: “You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace."

Let me ask, can you use any of these scriptural quotes to write something to honor your parents?

Well …

Here’s A Very Short And Sweet Wedding Anniversary Speech Example For A Loving Parent!

One time, dad told me that he believed his marriage to my mom was destined by God.

Guess what, theirs wasn’t love at first sight. They both happened to be in the same class in grade 2 and during recess, mom would hold dad’s hand and go out to play with him.

Mom didn’t like playing with any those little girls and boys, but he found a friend in my dad and their teachers couldn’t understand all that was happening.

Come to think of it, they later got to the same middle school, high school and college even though their parents (my grandparents) lived in different parts of the country…

The years have come and gone and they have gone through their high and low moments…There were points in their lives when we the kids felt all hope was gone and lost and we wondered what our future would be like…but God came through for the family.

With the help of family and friends, their love for each other rekindled and for me, the greatest thing I have learned from them is that the greatest gift any parent can give their children is to show that they love each other even when it hurts!

Can you write something short and sweet like what I did? Did you notice, I just used the word ''love'' from the bible quotes up there to write my speech?

There’s nothing wrong lifting entire portions and making it yours, but just a single word can inspire you to make things work for you!

That’s not all… For quick and easy results...

Please Talk to These Wise Men and You’ll Succeed!

Quotes from wise men and women about marriage can also help and here are a few. You can use them to come up with something just as I did in the example we have seen.

Wise quote 1: ''Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own.''- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Wise quote 2: "The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves." — Victor Hugo

Wise quote 3: ''Before you marry a person you should first make them use a computer with slow Internet to see who they really are.''-Will Ferrell

Wise quote 4: ''Before marriage, a man declares that he would lay down his life to serve you; after marriage, he won't even lay down his newspaper to talk to you.''    -Helen Rowland

Wise quote 5: ''Friends show their love in times of trouble, not in happiness.''-Euripides

Use Beautiful Quotes About A Parent’s Love

Here are some good ones.

Now, let us now see how we can use at least two of those references to get something written.

Let us use these quotes….

''The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured. It is like no other relationship. It exceeds concern for life itself. The love of a parent for a child is continuous and transcends heartbreak and disappointment.''---James E. Faust

''No matter how far we come, our parents are always in us.'' --- Brad Meltzer…to write something short.

Here’s What My Free Gift For You!

Dave and Amanda, there is nothing that can compare to the love that I have for both of you.

My love for you runs so deep not only because you have been loving parents, bout you really care about others. I owe how far I have come to you because you paid a heavy price to make sure we become successful adults.

''Ladies and Gentlemen, yesterday, I watched Mike’s and Amanda’s wedding video and when they were saying their vows,  they promised to stand by each other even beyond time.

Those words made me cry like a baby!

I have been married for 10 years now and those words provide great comfort when we go through some low moments.

I know deep down in my heart that even before I was born, they had me and my siblings in mind…they had our best interest at heart and I guess that’s why they did everything they could to love each other so they could pass on a legacy of hope, perseverance,  and love to us…

Wow, I think that’s their greatest accomplishment!

This Can Still Help You Out!

Guess what in the box?

A beautiful 60th wedding anniversary speech by Jeff Sauer.

Before we dive right in, I just want you to know this one thing.

I know you might probably be looking for 1st, 2nd, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th… marriage speech sample

But, you can’t go wrong with this 60th anniversary example as it will not only open your eyes to what goes into every speech, but also help you say what you really want to say without trying so hard!

So, please go grab your note pad and a pen and put on your thinking cap as I help you out.

Do This And The Guests Will Love Every Bit of Your Message

Have you ever read a book you couldn’t put down? If you have, then you can be sure that an awesome speech is more like reading a book that hooks you in from the very first page!

I don’t know about you but if you have had the chance to listen to great speeches, then one thing that grabs your attention is the opening line.

Take this example from our example and you will understand why

Here you go:

Here is what Jeff said when he opened the speech.

'' Hello, my name is Jeff Sauer, Grandson of Norb and Lenore, and welcome to our celebration of 60 years of marriage between Lenore and Norby, or as we affectionately call them; Lenorby.

I will be your master of ceremonies for this event, and I hope that you’ll soon find that you are in good hands. Grandpa chose me to host this event because he says I remind him of a young Bob Hope.

I have no idea what that means, but I am taking it as a compliment.
Enough about me. The real reason why we are here is to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert T Koch.''

To make our analyses worth it, I’d like to ask you a simple question: what do you make of that sample?

My friend, you have just 5 minutes to tell me what’s on your mind. You might go up and look it over.

Well, your time is up. By the way, here are my observations.

The writer began by telling everyone who he was. '' Hello, my name is Jeff Sauer, Grandson of Norb and Lenore’’ Lesson learned: You should also do same.

He also reveals why they are at the party after welcoming the guests:  The real reason why we are here is to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert T Koch.''

Lessons learned: Just follow what he did.

I hope you have some take points to take away from those ideas.

On no account should you assume that everyone at the anniversary party will know who you are!

Always tell them who you are and your relationship with the couple!

That being said, let me let you in on his introduction

See it below

''60 years! 6 – 0. That’s not a typo. 60 years! That is a long time for two people to be together. In fact, this type of longevity is almost unheard of in modern times. This is a testament to their long lasting love and devotion.
To see how they made it this far, let me give you some insight into how things came to be.

Do you think this is a great introduction? I think it’s very good but not extraordinary.

But, the guests will love it because I am sitting here and just imagining how Jeff uttered the words: ''60 years! 6 – 0. That’s not a typo. 60 years!

A good actor will bring the house down when he says that.

What would you have written instead if you were in Jeff’s shoes?

This would have been my opening remarks

Can You Write Something Like This?

60 years is such a long time for great things to be accomplished and I think my parents greatest accomplishment is the love they have for each other because life is all about being loved and be loved in return!

How does that compare with that above example? Excellent? Unique? You be the judge.

Here Are 3 Ways To Start Your Introduction…Which One Will You Go For?

The truth is there are more than three ways to start on a positive note but I just want to give you what I am going to share.

Do you want to have them?

  1. You can start with a joke or funny one-liners but make sure you tie it to the theme of your speech.

Here are a couple you can use

-''In marriage, a woman tend to do all the shopping and a man all the working…if you allow your wife to do both, your blood pressure will go high''-    Unknown

-''By all means marry. If you get a good wife, you’ll become happy. If you get a bad one, you’ll become a philosopher.'' - Socrates

''The best way to get most husbands to do something is to suggest that perhaps they're too old to do it.''
- Ann Bancroft

''Marriage is a three-ring circus. First the engagement ring, the the wedding ring, then the suffering.''
- Milton Berle

The best part is you can also start with a good story about the couple’s life or any other story you have heard but make sure the message of that tale resonates with your marriage anniversary speech. People love stories so you can’t afford not to use this tip.

  1. That’s not all, you can use love or marriage quotes like what I used for my own example:

''The greatest thing you will learn is to love and be loved in return''-Eden Ahbez

''Marriage has no guarantees, if that’s why you are looking for, then go live with a car battery''-Erma Bombeck

''Where there is love there is life.''– Mahatma Gandhi

"When we got married I told my wife 'If you leave me, I'm going with you.' And she never did."

— James Fineous McBride

Any of those quotes can help you so put down what you think can help and go back to read my example plus Jeff’s and try to build your intro from there.

Right now, I want us to continue with our wedding or marriage anniversary speech sample as we have a lot to learn.Remember, my mission is to help things fairly easy for you.

So, don’t put down your glasses yet.

Here’s the continuation...

Norbert Thomas Koch and Mary Lenore Leroux had modest upbringings. Norb grew up in North Minneapolis, back in a time where it was safe to drive through the neighborhood with your windows down. Lenore grew up in the town of Hamel, on a farm that is now a high school and a housing development.

Due to some unfortunate turns in life, Norb was tasked with helping to prove for his family from an early age. In order to make ends meet, he had to make money in whatever way he could, including selling newspapers and shoveling sidewalks.

One can only assume that working at such an early age instilled him with a great work ethic, and the drive necessary to achieve his own financial independence.

Lenore was a farm girl, and still has the green thumb to prove it. Over the years I have heard many great stories about Grandma’s days on the farm, but I think my favorite is the story about when she took the truck for a spin with her sister Jeanette when grandma wasn’t yet a teenager.''

What Ideas Did You Get From Going Over That Piece?

Well, if you read over this piece Jeff talks about Norbert’s and Lenore’s upbringing and how life was like for them.

If you want to take a similar route, that’s fine.

If not, then I have plenty of ideas for you.

Before I do that, you have to go back to ask yourself who you are to the couple.

A brother, sister, parents, son or a daughter?

With that at the back of your mind, ask yourself if the information you have about them would be sufficient to write a good piece!

Here’s the deal!

Do You Want To Go For The ‘’Body’’ Or The ‘’Skeleton?’’

Just like Jeff, you too can write a heartwarming speech by putting down a wonderful story line.

Thankfully, there are proven ways of getting ideas for the body and then organizing it to make sure they flow in a logical order so your speech is not hard to follow.

Here are 5 Proven Ways to Put Your Ideas Together in a Way That Will Make You Loved, Appreciated and Respected!

  1. Suppose, you are writing for your parents, youcan begin with a quote about parental love or the love of grandparents or quotes about love and work it out from there.

Let’s see how we can do that by first looking up a few quotes.

--- ''One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents to call mom and dad.'' - Jim DeMint

'' Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Every word, movement and action has an effect. No other person or outside force has a greater influence on a child than the parent. '' - Bob Keeshan

'' To be a good father and mother requires that the parents defer many of their own needs and desires in favor of the needs of their children. As a consequence of this sacrifice, conscientious parents develop a nobility of character and learn to put into practice the selfless truths taught by the Savior Himself. ''- James E. Faust

'' At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents.''-Jane D. Hull

''The best students come from homes where education is revered: where there are books, and children see their parents reading them.''-Leo Buscaglia

''Being kind is the most important thing I've ever been taught. That's what my parents always told me - more important than ambition or success is being kind to people. The cornerstone of my life. What I aspire to is to be kind.'' -Rafe Spall

I can’t do this without you. So, let me again ask you which of those quotes you want to use for this assignment.

Ok…a lot of you have voted for quote # 3:

''To be a good father and mother requires that the parents defer many of their own needs and desires in favor of the needs of their children. As a consequence of this sacrifice, conscientious parents develop a nobility of character and learn to put into practice the selfless truths taught by the Savior Himself.'' - James E. Faust

and quote # 6:

'' Being kind is the most important thing I've ever been taught. That's what my parents always told me - more important than ambition or success is being kind to people. The cornerstone of my life. What I aspire to is to be kind.'' -Rafe Spall

…so they are the best candidates.

Here’s what happens when both quotes are combined to create something new

Here Is A Very Short And Sweet Wedding Anniversary Speech Example

'' Dad and mom, when I became a mom for the very first time, you came over to visit and I remember you told me that being a caring mom requires that making my husband my first priority and the little child the next.

I didn’t understand what you really meant when you said that.

When we had our fourth child, I realized your words were worth more than gold.

Mark and Jennifer are about to marry in a year’s time and they keep telling me that your advice is the best gift they have ever gotten….

I love you mom. I love you dad and I truly appreciate all that you have done for me over the years.''

I hope you too can write something with the other quotations. You just have to paraphrase them to make them yours.

Second, you can simply thank your parents, wife, husband, friend, brother, sister, grandparents for what they have done for you and just end it. That way, it will be short and heartfelt.

Third, you can use stories (fiction) to write up something memorable. Take the Titanic story for example.

If you want to use that and other stories, you have to draw lessons from them and use them creatively.

Fourth, if you are married, then, you can tell how your parents or grandparents’ marriage has been a great model.

Fifth, you can also begin on a hilarious note by including jokes or funny comments made by the couple. But, still make sure it is in line with what you want the audience to hear. Never ever go offbeat.

Now, let us go back to listen to our kind brother, Jeff.

'' When the time came, Norb served our country and defended the free world in the Second World War. He was stationed in the Pacific and had one of the most dangerous positions in the entire Air Force. Fortunately, he survived without a scratch and made it back stateside a true hero, armed with an arsenal of ambition and some great bedtime stories for his grandchildren.

Upon arrival back to the states, Grandpa enrolled in college at the University of Minnesota, where he played baseball while completing his college degree.

It was through baseball that Norb fatefully met Lenore, and it was through persistence that Grandma finally let him take her out on a date. After some time of courtship, they were married.

Grandpa sold life insurance and made quite a living for himself. I would go into details of individual deals and the perseverance involved with making it in the life insurance business, but I don’t want to put everyone to sleep.

While I have been blessed with the ability to find humor in everyday things, it’s almost impossible to keep a crowd excited when talking about Life Insurance. I’m not a miracle worker here!

However, I do know first-hand that Grandpa must have been really good at his profession, because he has a wealth of trophies corresponding to his various achievements.

  • Salesman of the year – (13 times).
  • President of the Minneapolis Association of Life Underwriters.
  • The George Washington Founding Father of Modern Life Insurance Sales Lifetime Achievement Award. (OK, I made that one up)

You name it, and he’s got a trophy for it. During his day, Norb was like the Arnold Palmer of insurance sales (or for the younger crowd, he was the Tiger Woods of his field).

Insurance aside, when you look at his trophy case, you’ll also notice that he was once the Tiger Woods of Minnesota Golf. This guy has more trophies than I can count. There is so much bronze on his shelves that the only thing missing is a bronze statue of Norby himself!

Proving that they are meant to be together, Grandma has amassed herself quite a few trophies as well.

In fact, rumor has it that she can beat Grandpa on the links nowadays. Both can shoot their age on the golf course, which I find quite impressive. I would need to be in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest man before I could ever accomplish that feat!''

Did you notice how the writer talks about their individual achievements as part of the body of his speech?

Can you look over short sample and find the one thing that will make the wedding guests laugh out loud?

This Will Make You Laugh Out Loud!

I think it’s: '' There is so much bronze on his shelves that the only thing missing is a bronze statue of Norby himself!

I almost fell off my seat when I read this part of this beautiful speech. Put down funny memories you can recall and do incorporate them into your message and it will make things very memorable.

Never forget to share their good and bad times and how they made it through it all as such accounts are the heartbeat of all wedding speeches: ''Like any long-term relationship, it takes work to keep things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. I’m not going to lie and say that everything has been good every step along the way, but the good far outweighs the bad, and overall the past 60 years have been great!''

Well, But Jeff tells us that their greatest trophies are their children and grandchildren.

You better hear it from the horse’s own mouth:

''But their real trophies are their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; all two hundred of us. Well, maybe not 200, but there are quite a few descendants in the room today. That’s what happens when you have 8 children! ‘’

I hope by now you agree with me that stories are the perfect ingredient that all great speech writers use to build their case.

You are one of us and I want you to weave a story line using real life anecdotes.

How To End Your Speech So The Guests Compliment You

A perfect closing might make good use of the following ideas

  1. Thanking your parents or the couple for their love over the years and how that has made you a much better person. See what Jeff said: ''As you can see, it is obvious that Grandma and Grandpa love…

Over the past 60 years they have instilled this love into everyone around them and they have served as a catalyst for all of our life’s achievements.

While nothing can take the place of two sets of grandparents, I feel you did everything you could to make up that gap for me.

Thank you for everything you have done. I love you so much. Happy 60th anniversary.
Love, your little Jeffy.''

  1. You can say what your best wishes are for them as seen below

For Parents

Love makes the world go round, and in your case, it seems to be spinning at a good clip. Best wishes.

  1. You can end with a blessing from the scriptures. My favorite is Psalm 128

Psalm 128

             A song of ascents.

  1. Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him.
    You will eat the fruit of your labor;
blessings and prosperity will be yours.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
        within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
        around your table.
Yes, this will be the blessing
for the man who fears the Lord.
  2. May the Lord bless you from Zion;
may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life.
May you live to see your children’s children—
        peace be on Israel.
  1. Compliment them sincerely and wish them well in the years ahead as Jeff has done for us once again!

I hope by now, you have a fair idea of how to use wedding anniversary speech samples to write your own speech. If you are still at a loss, please you better go over this piece or scroll down for this time-sensitive message!

Do You Know All These 4 Components Of A Great Speech?

You have to take three steps if you want to give a very good speech.

  1. You have to look for the right ideas and words and phrases to help you say what is on your heart.
  2. Then, you write your speech and keep editing it till it looks and sound great
  3. Thirdly, you have to practice it and …
  4. You have to muster the courage to deliver it.

We shall look at idea number 2, 3, and 4 another time.

But for today, let’s look at idea number 1: You have to look for the right ideas and words and phrases to help you say what is on your heart.

Here is A Proven Way To Easily And Quickly Get The Right Words And Ideas

The experts will tell you over and over that brainstorming is the best way to come up with ideas and that’s true.

But, that can be really hard when your husband suddenly changes his mind and politely begs you to give a speech instead.

Whatever your case is, I believe you should not struggle so I am happy to share with you what I do all the time before I write any awesome speech.

How To Put Yourself In The Mood For The Right Stuff

All you have to do is to go to any of the video sharing platform platforms or websites and put your keyword: wedding anniversary speech or message by wife to a husband into the search box.

Wait for just 2 seconds while hundreds of those videos pop out.

Then, grab your paper and pen and take notes as you hit on the play button.

As you watch those short clips, just put down words and phrases you find funny or witty and you’d like to form a part of your message.

By the way, here are a few romantic lines from movies that can help you for sure.

"I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity.

''I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful."-The Fault In Our Stars (2014)

" The you who you are tonight is the same you I was in love with yesterday, the you I’ll be in love with tomorrow.''- If I Stay (2014)

"I have crossed oceans of time to find you."- Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

''I love you very much, probably more than anybody could love another person.”- 50 First Dates (2004

"I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floating around accidental — like on a breeze, but I think maybe it’s both... If there’s anything you need, I won’t be far away.''- Forrest Gump (1994)

" I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. And to always know in the deepest part of my soul that no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find our way back to each other." - The Vow (2012)

You might want to paraphrase if you intend using any of them. If you can’t put them in your own words, just quote them verbatim and give it its due attribution.

Do You Have A Wedding Anniversary Memory Book, Diary, Photo Album or Journal?

Which of those resources do you have?

Pouring out your heart out shouldn’t be so hard if you have any of them.

As an example, let’s take a wedding journal or memory book and see how that can make our assignment much easier.

Have you recorded your thoughts and wishes all through the years you have been together?

If you have, you will realize that most marriage or unions can be broken down into the following parts:

  1. Getting to know each other
  2. Pre-marriage activities or festivities
  3. Tying the knot
  4. The first few years
  5. The middle years
  6. The later years

If you have not been married for a very long time, then you can ignore the last three portions

Now, this is what I want you to do if for example you want to come up with a narrative type of wedding anniversary speech.

So, for

  1. Getting to know each other… you simply have to write down what happened back then
  2. For Pre-marriage festivitiesyou simply have to write down what happened back then
  3. Tying the knotyou simply have to write down what happened on your wedding day
  4. For the first you simply have to write down what happened on your wedding day
  5. Do same for the middle years and later years

Suppose, we have already put down our thoughts to all 6 ideas, then…this would be…

A Short And Sweet Marriage Anniversary Speech For Your Husband

Words cannot adequately describe how grateful I am to have you in life. Prior to this day, I spent so many precious moments poring over old photos, trying to relive every moment of our wonderful marriage and then it suddenly dawned on me that your love has been the gift of my life.

It seems like only yesterday, I first met you on the University of Mabry and I could tell you were destined to be forever.

And yes I was right because we felt this instant connection with each other as though we had been friends for a lifetime

There you were looking so cute…

Did you notice how I used point number 1: Getting to know each other… to write this brief extract?

I could go on and on by following the six-point guide I showed you.

Following that will just make your writing flow from the tip of your pen.

So, go up this page and provide answers next to them and start from there in that order.

What Memories Do You Have?

Closely connected to the above idea are memories of your relationship.

Memories are undoubtedly the heartbeat of all great speeches.

To give your presentation with poise and confidence, you need to tell lots of stories when you are giving your speech.

  1. Put down stories about how you met him
  2. Stories about your dating and courtship
  3. What happened when you got married?
  4. How has life been like ever since you both tied the knot?

If you have been married for a very long time, you can add

  1. What have been your accomplishments?
  2. What are the good and bad moments?
  3. What are you looking forward to in the coming years?

Remember, you don’t need to tell lots of stories else it will be very long and winding and your narrative will be hard to follow.

Just stick to a few details and do make sure they follow one another in a coherent and logical manner.

You might want to include a few funny anecdotes as that will make your whole message interesting and very memorable.

Do You Still Remember The Words You Said At Your Wedding Reception?

Sometimes, you need not look far to get something down on paper.

Let me ask you: Do you still have your bride speech or do you still remember portions of it?

Did you know you can use parts of that account to craft your own speech?Don’t worry if you didn’t make one or have forgotten it.

Now, let use a short bride speech and then we will see how we can make something out of it.

Here you have it:

'' After pursuing my P.H.D I found a good job and had everything I ever need to give me that personal comfort and satisfaction.
As the years rolled by with no one to hold on in hard times, I felt this void in my heart and I lived like a nun.

And so, when Mike came into my life, I experienced a deep sense of joy that flowed through my heart and veins like a never flowing stream.

Well, Mike has been a friend for almost 5 years now but I must admit that I just wanted to know if he was the right guy for me. And I was the right lady for him.

I am someone who believes in the sanctity of marriage and I just didn’t want anything or anyone to toy with my heart.

After he had left college, he told me he loved but I turned this great guy down. Wanting to impress me, he sent me a flower on Valentine’s Day but I was still not convinced that he could feel the void in my life.

Besides, I wanted to test the strength of his heart and character.

But my Mike would never give up on me.

On my last birthday, he arrived looking cute.
I guess he wanted to impress me.

To cut a long story short, we wined and dined and he came over when everyone had left and we talked for like 2 hours.

At a point, he was drenched in sweat and his voice grew rather hoarse as he held my hands.

He got down on one knee and told me that he still wanted to be my best friend.

Suddenly I felt a bit faint, but I smiled and accepted his proposal.

After, he breathed a big sigh of relief and it felt as if he had won a marathon in record time in an empty stadium.

Today, the story is different.

He’s relaxed but I am drenched in sweat as I give my speech.
Kidding aside, I feel like a princess on this beautiful day.

Mike thanks for agreeing to marry me.

Your proposal took my breadth and my brains away. Far away…''

It’s an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to and accept you for what you are. I’ve been waiting, for what seems like a very long time, to get beyond what I am.

I always thought that there was this one perfect person for everybody in the world, you know, and when I found you, all my fears and worries faded away.

Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure.

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again…

Now, we are best friends eternally and we will have to cross so many rivers and climb hills to get to where we want to be.

But, I know we will get there.''

Now, here’s what I came up with based on the above speech.

''Mike tried to impress me the very first time we met on campus back at University.
Later we got married, and I thought he might stop doing that.

But, he’s impressed me each day. What a wonderful friend he has been all these years.

It’s an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to and accept you for what you are. And I think Mike is that guy my soul had been carving for since I made a decision to settle down.

Mike, every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure.
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again

Now, we are best friends eternally and we still have to cross so many rivers and climb hills to get to where we want to be. But, I know we will get there sooner than later. I love you Mike!’’

Did you see how we borrowed a few words from that original speech and simply made it one meant for an anniversary milestone? Can you do same? I hope you can.

Wedding Anniversary Speech Sample

Speech examples can be another powerful motivator for writing your own speech.

But know that you can’t borrow the sample word for word as that will not make your speech very original.

Just look at these samples and change a few things here and there and make it yours. You can also look at its structure and model your speech on this.

What Do You Think?

Finally, here’s what I want you to do so you can get started as soon as possible.

Please look over this post again and sit down and try to come up with something sweet for your husband or if you are still confused or you just want the best speech ever, then the message below will be a lifesaver.
