Wedding (Marriage) Anniversary Speech Ideas and Tips: Want Your 1st, 2nd, 5th, 10th, 20th, 25th, ...50th Wedding Anniversary Speech To Be Very Memorable? Just Follow This Simple And Clever Plan
To begin with, I must congratulate you for staying true to your bonds all these years, even as you celebrate your marriage or wedding anniversary.
It is been a labor of love right?
Sure it has been.
I know you want to tell your family and friends, how all these years has been with your wife or husband or even for your parents, and I am happy to share with you a few secrets so you can write and give a heartfelt message.
Can we start now? I have been writing wedding speeches for some time now, and I know there a few things to consider before you put down your thoughts on a sheet of paper.
Why Victory Lies In Your Skull
Before I show you what those ideas are, let me remind you about this one thing that prevents many wedding speakers from accomplishing their dreams of giving great marriage anniversary speeches that will earn them favorable attention and praise.
You see, the mind plays a key role in whatever you want to achieve in life.
Sadly, however, may people let fear reside in their mind instead of holding on to the dream they carry in their hearts.
You might be probably wondering how you are going to execute this beautifully since you might have failed to impress the last time you were asked to say some few words when it was your birthday celebrations.
Well, I understand what you went through and it was admittedly not too easy for though.
Believe it or not, those same emotions of fear will show up this time too.
It will because you couldn’t conquer it the first it came to dine with you. The good news is that you can do something about it this time.
Do This And You Will Make It
By constantly holding in your mind’s eye, this picture of speaking confidently with flair and poise, you are going to have this remarkable feeling of energy flowing through your spirit and soul, and it would eventually build up your self-esteem and confidence.
You can write the most awesome wedding anniversary speech ever, but if you lack the guts to speak before an audience, you are going to fail woefully. So, please keep this advice in your head all the time.
Fail To DoThis And You Will Get Nowhere
First, put down on paper what kind of wedding anniversary speech you want to give. Is it the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 20 th, 25 th, 30th, 50th or what?
Again, you need to write down what your specific role at the celebration will be, as that will help you choose the right words.
For example, the words you’ll use when addressing your wife or husband will be different if you are addressing your parents or your grandparents, though there might be some similarities here and there.
Choose Your Own Style
Next, you have to decide what angle you want to go for. By that I mean the theme or style of your speech.
Do you want to talk about how the couple’s relationship has evolved over the years or you simply want to tell them how much your wife or husband means to you.
Or even the struggles both of you have endured to reach thus far?
You can also simply express gratitude as part of your tribute or tell a story(whether real or imagined) and tie it to your own wedding anniversary speech.
Next, you have to put down what speech style you want to go for. There are so many styles to pick from.
But giving a narrative piece, humorous account, a narrative or story telling episode, being poetic or making your wedding anniversary speech ‘’song-like’’ or a combination or one or more of these styles are issues you have to grapple with.
Whatever style you go for should match your personality and demeanor.
Go To These Places For Ideas
Next, you have to decide where to get ideas from and how to piece those ideas to form your own message.
I am happy to share with you a few places to get those ideas.
You can look up videos on wedding anniversary speeches in the search engines and watch those that you find interesting. Put down ideas that jump inside your brain.
If you are Christian, then another source of ideas will be the Holy Bible.
Another area to look at is love or marriage quotes.
Ideas from love songs or quotes from marriage anniversary movies or wedding movies can also help you out.
Here Is The Best Place For Unique Ideas
Finally, the greatest ideas come from your own memories. Those wonderful memories you have in mind are the golden keys that will make writing your entire speech much easier.
So, write as many of them that comes to you as you reflect on how life has been for both of you, and the blessings and hard times you’ve been through.
I am asking you to list as many of them because you never know which point will help you express your thoughts eloquently.
Have You Considered These Too?
One thing you can let go if you really want to craft a heartfelt message is wedding anniversary speech samples.
They are crucial in the preparation process because they help you to assess what goes into such speeches.
Besides, they contain so many great ideas, phrases and sentences and even quotes you can borrow when writing your own speech.
I want us to look at this brief wedding anniversary speech sample or example Jeff gave and how we can use it to write our own speech. Remember, though this is geared towards a 60th anniversary, you can always modify based on the facts you have gathered.
Now, to our example
''Hello, my name is Jeff Sauer, Grandson of Norb and Lenore, and welcome to our celebration of 60 years of marriage between Lenore and Norby, or as we affectionately call them; Lenorby.
I will be your master of ceremonies for this event, and I hope that you’ll soon find that you are in good hands. Grandpa chose me to host this event because he says I remind him of a young Bob Hope.
I have no idea what that means, but I am taking it as a compliment.
Enough about me. The real reason why we are here is to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert T Koch.
60 years! 6 – 0. That’s not a typo. 60 years! That is a long time for two people to be together. In fact, this type of longevity is almost unheard of in modern times. This is a testament to their long lasting love and devotion.
To see how they made it this far, let me give you some insight into how things came to be.
Norbert Thomas Koch and Mary Lenore Leroux had modest upbringings.
Norb grew up in North Minneapolis, back in a time where it was safe to drive through the neighborhood with your windows down. Lenore grew up in the town of Hamel, on a farm that is now a high school and a housing development.
Due to some unfortunate turns in life, Norb was tasked with helping to prove for his family from an early age. In order to make ends meet, he had to make money in whatever way he could, including selling newspapers and shoveling sidewalks.
One can only assume that working at such an early age instilled him with a great work ethic, and the drive necessary to achieve his own financial independence.
Now, let us see how to carve something brief from what that guy wrote.
Here we go
Welcome everyone. Thanks for coming. I am Dan, son of Jennifer and Austin and you are welcome to the 25th wedding anniversary of my parents.(Did you see how different this intro is from the original version?)
To see how they made it this far, let me give you some insight into how things came to be.(have maintained this line..scroll up to see)
Jennifer and Austin thought they would never get this far. My parents tell me how tough things were a few years after they got married.
You see, dad had a high-paying job and my mom agreed to be a stay-at-home mom because her work was demanding.
Things were pretty good the following years after my parents had made that decision. One day, dad returned home from work looking glum...
The reason being that he had been laid off from work..The years that followed were very very tough. We were thrown out of our apartment by our landlord and we had barely enough to live on...
Do you realize how i am weaving my own story in place of the example we came across?
That's exactly how to use wedding anniversary speech samples to get something beautiful down on the white page.
I hope you can follow suit. Don't tell yourself, you can't. I believe in you and hope you can!
