Choosing the right words will not only make your groom speech heartfelt but make your speech very memorable.
It stands then to reason that

, you should put some thought into the words you use for your speech.

                  GROOM WEDDING SPEECH

I know that it can be very hard to come up with such words in a short amount of time and so I am happy to show you proven ways to get words that will make your speech very special on your big day.

Here we go:

Put Down Any Funny Incident That Comes To Mind

Do you recall the last time you really had a good laugh? What made you giggle?

Did the person crack a joke? Or did that person tell a funny story? Pause for a moment and reflect on what the person said or did to get you excited.

If you can recollect moments you have had with your wife that really made your day, you have to put them down as they come to you. It could be things you said to each other that made you happy or joyous events you have had.

Write as many of them that come to you down because you never know which idea will help you to write a very compelling speech.

Use Jokes

If you’re going to use jokes or stories, make sure they’re connected to
the theme of your speech.

Watch Videos For Ideas

Watch those you find interesting and write down ideas you think you can use in your own speech. Well, that’s what we do in-house when we are stuck!

Other search terms like father of the groom videos, mother of the groom, bride speech among other things can help you because they all have great expressions and ideas you can use. But, make sure, you don’t copy verbatim something you hear. Let them serve as light to your dark path.

MUSIC CAN ALSO HELP

Have you ever been to a wedding where the groom gave his speech in song? Well, that is one of the most beautiful ways to make your speech memorable. That’s if you can sing.

If you don’t have a very good voice like mine, you can listen to love songs and country music and even inspirational tunes and you will get so many ideas to help you write your speech.
This works for me whenever I have to write a speech for a client.

Watch Wedding Movies

You might not have the time to watch wedding movies but if you do, great ideas will come to you. Take for example this beautiful line that comes from the movie.

"I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me." —Maggie, Runaway Bride

Using Similes And Metaphors To Your Best Advantage

The use of similes and metaphors play a crucial role in the writing and giving of great wedding speeches. In fact, they can transform a rather boring presentation into a memorable presentation.

They enable us to see in our mind’s eyes what you are saying as though it’s relayed in a movie.

For instance let’s see how we can transform the following
sentences into something entertaining using both similes and metaphors

When I met her at the pool side, I felt happy.
There’s nothing wrong with that.

But we can add some power to it
when we change it to:When I met her at the pool side, her tenderness fell on me like the first rain of spring.

You can even personalize it. Let’s see how to do just that.

When I met her at a poolside, her tenderness fell on me like the first
rain of spring. Our eyes met and my heart raced like crazy. Then
something whispered into my ears and said: she is the mother of your
children.

How about this one? He was deeply in love. Notice any difference when we inject it with a simile?

She was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells,
as if she were a garbage truck backing up. When I popped the
question, she looked at the floor, lifted up her eyes, looked at me and
said: I had been always looking forward to this day…

I hope that gives you a fair idea of how to write something meaningful from similes and metaphors!

For these literary devices to achieve the desired effect you should
connect them to the theme of your talk and they should be something
you and the guests can relate to. They evoke images far beyond the
reach of words.

Here are at least some similes and metaphors you can use to
spice up your presentation.
